Client Care Package Keep your wishes safe, secure and up to date
Copies don't count
A plan only works if it can be put into effect. So it's essential you safeguard your will and Lasting Power of Attorney. Because only the original documents are legally binding. Scans, photocopies and computer records aren't enough on their own.
People who keep their wills at home are asking for trouble. It's so easy to lose or misplace documents, but there's also the risk of damage through a household fire, flooding or a burglary. That's why we offer our Client Care Package.
For an annual subscription, enjoy true peace of mind for less than you'd pay for a streaming service:
- Safeguard your important legal documents with our physical storage service
- Use our Digital Estate Planning to create a secure inheritance vault
- Take advantage of regular reviews to keep your will up to date
- Combat challenges to your will or Lasting Power of Attorney with a digital mental capacity assessment certificate
Physical storage
Your will is one of the most important documents you'll ever write. But having taken the time to do so, you need to make sure your executors can find it. That's why we use The National Will Archive to store our clients' wills and other legal documents.
The National Wills Archive is a dedicated facility where people can store and register their wills, and family members can search for lost wills. It securely stores over 150,000 legal documents and was founded by The Society of Will Writers, the largest self-regulatory body for professional will writers and estate planners in the UK.
For nearly 30 years, The Society of Will Writers has been providing secure storage of important legal documents. So you can rest assured your will could not be safer.
How does it work?
- Watertight and worry free - Your will and any other legal document you choose to store are kept safe in a waterproof wallet in a specialist document facility. There's no risk of them getting lost or damaged.
- Certificates and ID cards - You and your executors will receive storage certificates and plastic identity cards. These display your name, a unique storage reference number, and The National Will Archive's contact details.
- Free access any time - You can access your documents whenever you want, as many times as you like. There's no extra charge for doing so. You can choose to have them returned to us or directly to you using an insured delivery service.
- Straightforward for executors - When the time comes, it's easy for your executors to access your will. They can contact us or The National Will Archive directly. All they need to do is provide a death certificate and their proof of identification.
Digital Estate Planning
So much of our lives now takes place online. Gone are the days when you might keep all your account statements, policy details and legal paperwork in physical files in a study or home office.
We've partnered with Legado technologies to create a secure digital inheritance vault. With this you can:
- Store any file or document - from deeds and insurance policies to music tracks and videos
- Keep your passwords secure and protect precious personal memories
- Maintain your privacy while enabling named individuals to access your documents on an 'as needs' basis at pre-determined milestones
- Make it easy for executors to access key information when you die, speeding up the probate process by as much as 4 months
And you can rest assured that your documents, files and confidential information are safe. Data is held in the cloud and stored remotely in UK-based data centres. These are accredited to ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security management.
What's more, the security standards maintained by Legado technologies are among the highest in the industry. This has been proven by stringent testing carried out by UK Government-accredited agencies.

Maintenance, reviews and updates
If writing a will is vital, keeping it up to date is essential. Because when circumstances change, your needs and wishes are likely to change too.
That's why we offer regular reviews and make it easy to update your will whenever you need to.
Digital mental capacity assessment certificates
What happens if someone challenges your will after you've died? Perhaps you haven't named them as a beneficiary, or they feel they should receive more from your estate. What if they claim you didn't know what you were doing when you wrote your will? It's a scenario many people fear.
Sadly, it's not limited to wills. If you appoint an attorney to help you make decisions, what's to stop someone else from alleging you didn't have mental capacity when you put your Lasting Power of Attorney in place?
The answer is evidence. Robust evidence.
They say seeing is believing. When you subscribe to our Client Care Package, you can ensure courts see the very best proof of your capacity.
We've partnered with Capacity Vault so you can create a digital snapshot that will be kept forever. It's another way to protect your wishes and those closest to you. Another way to gain true peace of mind.
How does it work?
- Step 1 You watch a 3-minute tutorial video before you get started.
- Step 2 You make and record a call to Capacity Vault. This will take between 20 minutes and half an hour. We recommend you do this every time you update your will.
- Step 3 Your recording is given a tamper-proof digital seal and secured in Capacity Vault's long-term storage facilities. That means we can provide a legally certified copy of your evidence if your will or LPA is ever challenged.
